the zune itself has a warranty with microsoft for a year ? so if something went wrong, i'd have to send it to microsoft?

im pretty sure that is true... although if you got a warranty through the store both of them start the same day of the purchase so you could check that one too...

yeah i was suppose to buy the 2 year warranty today ($50) but im short $10 and plus tax so i dont know. i purchased my 80 gig zune last week and they told me i had a week to buy the 2 year warranty but its been a week now and i dont have enough money.
