im thinking of buying a 80 gig to replace my 30 gig zune but i want to know all this talk about the EQ i want to know if it will affect me when i use it with my AUX port and i keep it on a different EQ which changes my zune to that EQ so i want to know if that will change or not

It'll definitely change as the 80 has no Eq

If the thing with the AUX port has an EQ, use that instead.

The the AUX devices EQ will work fine....should do anyway, no reason why it shouldnt

EQ does little to nothing from the start but eat battery, go with the 80gb.

I'd have to say the equalizer has quite a bit of an effect on the sound but if your lessoning thew cheaper earphones and/or a speaker system it will be less noticeable.

Mainly I like the Acoustic and Classical settings for the enhancement of the bass, Electronic and Jazz bring out the upper bands. Thats really the only ones I use.

As for battery life I generally keep the EQ on and I have yet to have my Zune's battery die on me ^_^


But if I had to choose I'd go with the Zune80 for the larger HD, touch pad, larger screen, smaller size, support for 640x480 res video and nearly twice the music playback. All the Zune30 got going for it is a equalizer and it's cheaper oh and easer to mod I guess.
