if i upgrade my zunes harddrive wont that mean id lose the firmware
bricking my zune? is there a way to get the zune firmware onto the new harddrive?

the logic board contains the operating protocols. as long as the new hard drive is installed properly just plug it in to your pc when you are finished and the zune software should detect and an update will become availiable to restore your firmware to the latest version. look at the HDD mod on the main page, that will talk you through the steps you need to cover
