| About half an hour ago, I took apart my Zune just to see what was inside. I followed all of the directions very carefully, but now, looking back at the pictures I think I may know what the problem is. When I removed the hard drive, I left the two small copper colored stickers (The ones that are stuck to the hard drive and to two screws on the motherboard) connected to the hard drive and not the motherboard, disconnecting the small connections. Now when I turn my Zune on, it shows the startup screen for a few minutes, and then a "Contact Support" message. If anyone knows of a way to fix this, your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Its a red 30GB. I got it a little less than a year ago, so I think there is still a warranty on it.
And when I try and hold The Back, left, and enter buttons, nothing happens.
If any of you think seeing pictures would be helpful, I can provide them. |

Thats what I thought.
Any ideas about what to do? Maybe re-solder the little copper stickers to the motherboard? |

Update: Now it wont stay off. Even when I hold back and down, it turns off, and then right back on. _________________

Did it start doing this as a result of further experimentation. or has it been left alone and it just started doing it randomly? _________________

Wow, I am so retarded. I had the hard drive ribbon cable plugged in upside down. Last night I turned on my zune and listened to see if the hard drive was spinning, and noticed that it wasn't. So I opened up my Zune again, and was checking the hard drive connections, when I noticed that I had the ribbon cable attached upside-down. I flipped it around, attached the battery, and everything worked fine. _________________
