Alright, for those of you who know what I'm talking about with the new update. I recently tried to install the update for my zune, but when it gets to 100% installed the screen pauses for about a minute then kicks back a screen saying "Install Failed Rollback Error: 0x80004005" or "0x80070643". Each time I run the update it gives me a different set of codes, but the one that always shows up is 0x80004005 and 0x80070643.
I've gone through several different ways to get it to work, from the zAlternate Installer to completely deleting it with Windows Install Cleanup then reinstalling it. I managed to get it working with a registry mod from Thundra35 over on Zune Boards, but the Zune Bus Root Enumerator seems to need a re-install whenever I reboot.
I'm so mad about this right now that my ipod is starting to look like a better idea, which makes me want to cry. MS customer service is a waste of time, especially since they keep telling me it's my computer. I know it's not my comp since my zune software was working up until this stupid update.
Any ideas on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

To be honest I still don't know. I've looked around to see what the update was for, but as far as I can tell is was nothing major. It just seems odd that of all things this update would cause my zune software to crash. |

Cesar Menendez said that the update was only to upgrade performance and fix some user issues, which it did for me apparently.

Nice to see it was suppose to do something for performance, but as I said before it screwed up my zune software before it did any good. Hopefully MS can make sure this doesn't become a common thing in the future.

I wish they'd fix the problem with all videos. The new software that's been out doesn't even have any mods to play other types of videos besides the basics. Kind of disappointing, but good luck with your update.

Thanks to the update, when I plug it in to my computer it actually says "Connected" instead of just charging.
