Well seeing as it is a USB port and the defracto voltage is (should) be 5V that shouldn't be a concern. I'd be more worried about the current the charger can supply. I use a iPod car charger and have had no problem other then it gives off really bad EMF interference.

BTW The Zune's current draw is 1400mA

I'm going to guess that would be the noticeable fuzz I get when I plug it in to my laptop.

Plug the iPod charger into your laptop? :?

Plug the iPod charger into your laptop? Confused

ROFL, no. When I plug my Zune into my laptop and play music there's a noticeable fizzy, static-y sound.

But that would be badass to have power outlets on a laptop. Sure would drain battery life though. Evil or Very Mad

That's odd, I didn't notice any thing in the play back when I had it plunged into my PC. The EMF interference is from the switching power conversion used by the iPod charger which dose make a sight buzz in Zune playback but it's most noticeable with the radio. The radio in the car itself is even effected.

Woah, this is awesome. I never even thought that the Zune USB cord would work with the Apple charger, and it does! Thanks guys for saving me at least $50!! I don't like to mismatch products but this is gonna have to do!
