I bought a used laptop today but it lacks a CD drive and an Operating System, it only has a floppy disk drive, and I was wondering if there's a way that anyone knows of to install Windows XP on a computer such as this. _________________

Dude! A floppy drive on an old laptop? Where'd you get that from, The Smithsonian?
Anyway, I think you can get a set of floppy install disks for Windows XP. May I recommend Windows 98? _________________

Actually, it came from a garage sale. (It was so cheap I couldn't not get it)
I think I may have found a way to install, but I need a way to burn a .img file to a floppy disk. _________________

That would have to be a big floppy disk.
If that laptop has those new-fangled USB 2.0 ports, I would recommend getting an external optical drive. _________________

well, I made a network boot disk, and that is currently starting up.
and I am not quite sure if the BIOS supports booting from USB devices.
perhaps I'll go look for an update _________________
