So it looks like they finally proved the rumors right. MS is going to go ahead and release a 120GB Zune, although I'm not as excited as some of you guys might be seeing as I'm barely halfway through filling up my 80GB. Although I would like to know if they plan on updating the firmware or adding something new to this zune.

UPDATE: Apparently the new 120GB Zune has the same price point at the 80GB zune. From what I understand the reason for that is because they're phasing out the 80 gig, but to add to that apparently they're getting ready to release a blue Zune as well. _________________

have to say, i recon this will share the same problems as the 120gb ipod... the firmware/cpu can cope with that much information, and so when its full or close to full it laggs like a bitch.. _________________

I need more music too, 4500+ songs just isn't enough for me
That seems to be a common problem with a lot of players now a days, to much crap in the memory not enough hardware power to keep up. You'd think they'd come up with something a lot better. _________________

i think b4 i jump back into the zune party, MS is gona need to get rid of WMP or the Zune player and have one unified platform that can play any format without issue, and be properly available in the UK, at a decent price... and they cut the size down, becasue its a little on the large side _________________

I had a lot of the same problems you did, but apparently the place I bought mine no longer sells the 30gig and when I finally took mine back for an exchange I ended up getting the 80gig for the exact same price I paid for my 30. Needless to say the 80gig actually works a lot better then the 30, and the only time I've had any issue with it was during a lightening storm.
Although a unified software platform would be a nice change from the shitty Zune software. Seeing as if the software doesn't know what the song is, it'll gladly match it to something completely off the wall. _________________

Having it plugged in during a lightening storm won't do anything, but having it plugged in when lightening strikes the transformer outside your house can have an odd effect on electronics. _________________

lol.... yeah the problem with the zune is that it has all the problems that the ipod has, but the ipod has alot of benefits over the zune, and atm unless they do something big to make the zune worth while i just cant see a need to buy one over my ipod classic, which apart from random crashes that are easily fixed its never missed a beat..
i can put games on it
its got a clock
it was the same price as my 30gb
its smaller
itunes > zune software
i think atm i'd rather have an iriver over a new zune _________________

Yeah, my internet gateway got blazed during a lightning storm. Now it can't handle more than 25 connections at any time. _________________
