The last CD I bought was the dual-disc version of The Downward Spiral. It inspired me to actually set up the speakers and audio receiver that have just been sitting there for ever. _________________

I see it like this, I shop around for the best, shit I can find, generally.
I have amassed a massive 40,000+ tracks, music library and with 80% of mp3 players you have to use their software
or Windows Media Player to manage all of your music and to transfer things to your player of choice.
Now I have (having used one for about 5 years) that iriver make the best mp3 players, but I want a program that can
manage my music, and make it a pleasure to look through.
When I 1st started this quest in about 2003 I found, and liked Music Match Jukebox, then for several years went
back to winamp and then I tried itunes..
didn't like how much ram it used and how problematic it was.
Then came the Zune, I loved its design, and promise, so I bought one on ebay. Like the software (that was back then,
just WMP with a skin), loved navigating through all my albums, love the marketplace and all the little things it could do.
Then Zune 2.0 came out, and changed everything. When this happened the screen on my Zune for some reason
started to break at the bottom, and to this day there is a dark patch of just dead pixels. So I started using itunes
again, this was so I could get all of my podcasts synced with my zune... but over time I just started to stop using the
Zune software, as it didn't allow me to edit the track info, and so it would randomly at every start up decide how it was
going to fuck with me. So I ditched it and moved to itunes, and just had the zune software monitor my itunes library.
Then when the time came for me to have a player with more storage, I looked at the ipods, and the zunes, even the
irivers, but by this time I'd already emigrated to itunes and so an ipod seemed the easiest player to get, and £150...
well I paid £120 for my 30gb zune, so the price seemed reasonable, and having tried one in store I liked the scroll on
the classic's better than the previous generations, where sticky fingers would stick to the plastic shell, so I went into
a shop and bought a black ipod classic.
I know its not the best, but its the easiest, and itunes is although its not anywhere close to perfect, or even what I
want out of a music manager its the best out there, so I'm happy, and in a year or so I'll probably go with a different
make, I have no loyalty with any brand, I just want whats easiest, and best at managing my music properly.
long ass comment but it means if you disagree, you have alot to disagree with _________________

yeah, my ipod has crashed about 4 times since I've had it, and my Zune only crashed about 2 times, and I've had my zune much longer... but its all about software, and atm itunes > zune software _________________
