I don't hate Apple, I don't love Apple. But what I prefer about how Apple manages and develops itunes over say, the Zune. Is;

1. regular updates, that most of the time just make it work a little better, instead of one update a year, that just adds things, and totally changes things up for no real reason.
2. iTunes store is much, much, much bigger than the ZMP
3. I can go into my local HMV, Tesco, Zavvi and any other shop that sells electrical goods and pick up a dock/hi-fi/connector or other accessory that I need.
4. the iTunes store uses real money and not made up MS points
5. the UI is better
6. I can stream my library over a LAN
7. coverflow
8. it has more podcasts than the ZMP
9. it supports internet radio
10. it supports audiobooks
11. i don't have to hack it to run on my computer

Never said it was shit, I just don't like using it since most of my music is in a variety of formats that iTunes wants to convert into it's own. There are good things about itunes and zune, but there are fucked up things about both too.
Needless to say I fucking hate the ipod only because I've gone through 4 of them in less then 2 years. The biggest reason is because of the shitty protection Apple has for the hard drive on the ipod. Nothing like shorting out your ipod with 2 good zaps of static. On the other hand I've replaced my zune twice, once for a bad board and the other was my genius dropping it off a second floor balcony.
