|
|
right, so im looking at maybe investing in a 360, I have a PS3 and a Wii, but I have some Q's about which is the best 360 package to get etc etc... ok so i'll start
1. would a 60gb HDD be enough, or should i go for the elite?
2. does the elite come with wireless or do i have to buy an adapter?
3. do you think it would be worth the money, given that i own a PS3 as it is?
4. what games would you recomend, given that I own GT-boring-as-shit-A 4? _________________

1. I would go for the elite. Loading games into the hard drive is going to take up a lot of space.
2. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/Hardware/x/xbox360elitesystem/default.htm <- Everything you need to know (what's dumb is it doesn't ship with wireless )
3. The Xbox 360 has a wider variety of games than the PS3. The PS3 mainly contours toward hardcore gamers.
4. Saints Row 2
Fable 2
Any suggestions listed below. _________________

1. i dont use the HDD at all, but its already half filled!! get the 120GB only if you looking forward to a lots of marketplace interactions\
2. idk. but i dont think it comes free.
3. i dont know if you should get a 360. the only thing i think its better than PS3 is the controller is more comfortable and looks like one of those space ship in halo. and you have to pay to play online didn't know ps3 doesnt have to, or i would pay $100 more to get ps3 instead
4. halo! which i dont have not sure. lots of games that i want is on PS3...
wait for the next gen console ... or unless you have shit load of money and have nothing to do. build a core i7 computer!! perhaps (coming 11/17/0 |

| unless your gonna be downloading everything under the sun a 60GB harddrive would suffice, i have a 20 and its still has 5GB free. The wireless adapter isn't that good, it is cheaper and better to just bridge through a computer or laptop. Fable 2, Gears of War 2, Left 4 Dead, and backwards compatability. All the 360 needs is a Blu-ray drive and it would be the absolute winner. |

i cant really bridge it, through any machines, becasue they are the same dist from the router as the 360 would be... _________________

You could also go out and grab a pre programed wireless adapter. I've setup 2 with a linksys and they work a hell of a lot better then that expensive piece of shit MS wants you to buy. _________________

I heard you can pick up a cheap Linksys Wireless-G Router, configure it to receiver mode (with DD-WRT, I'm assuming), and just run an ethernet cable to the router. That's the basics, here's the details:

elite all the way... the hdd itself makes up for a lot of the price...
installing games to the hard drive takes up about 6Gb per game...
you still need the disk in to play but its quite as fuck and loads faster in MOST cases... (im wondering if a simple dvd rip will suffice to prove the game is in the tray... or like a ripped copy off a torrent site...)
wireless adapter for sure though... :/
ONLY GET IT IF YOU WILL PLAY ENOUGH GAMES TO MAKE THE PURCHASE RESONABLE... _________________

+1 B. The only thing that should sell a console is its game library. And from what I noticed, most 360 games aren't exactly platform exclusive.
And I recommend the Elite package as well, combined with a next-to-garbage Wireless G router that can run DD-WRT. As Outrage said, installed games take an average of 6GB, and 10 games will load the 60GB hard drive up fairly quick. I recommend streaming all of your other media or MP3 players loaded with media to save hard drive space
And while I'm here, is anyone else experiencing DVD drive issues? _________________

definitely the elite, 60GB is not at all enough.
It would be a good investment, seeing as how the PS3 has almost no good games. _________________
