I reformatted my PC, reinstalled Windows XP and, of course, my Zune software. Ever since then, I have had to connect my Zune as a Guest in order to add files to it. I really want to sync it with my library again and get to use my Inbox, but in order to do that, I have to reformat my Zune, which is not something I want to do.
Anyone know a hack that will allow me to sync my Zune to my PC without wiping all the data?
Thanks. _________________

You could use the HDD hack and copy all the files from your Zune to your media library, then wipe the Zune and resync all the files. That's really the only way around it. _________________

go to account management and restore your library... but do the hd mod to get pictures or videos off of it... _________________

Heh, I backed up all my playlists before I reformatted my PC by going into folders like Application Data, so I won't have to recreate any of those, seeing as the HDD mod does not allow you to put old playlists onto your Zune.
If this fail-proof plan fails, I'll be sure to let you know.
Thanks a bunch! _________________

I am also in this Dilemma, after a horrible attempt at switching OS's, I gave Linux a try , I had to reload XP so now I also am a guest.
If this works for him, I will try it as well. _________________

yea, I attempted to use Ubuntu, unfortunately, when I did this I was not nearly as technically savvy as I am now. Being the idiot I was, instead of Dual booting, I installed from the bootdisk thinking I could still switch, instead, Ubuntu became the only OS on my machine, and my HDD was wiped clean.
These issues have been resolved for awhile though, so now It's just a thing of the past. _________________

I tried out Ubuntu on my PC once. I really liked it, but in the end I decided that I really didn't have any real use of having it, mainly because that was back in the days I used to play Steam games all the time. _________________
