Can I do this with the software?
Because basically: I want to make an MP3 CD. The last few times I've done this, they've all been in separate folders, and the playlists were no longer together. So in my car I'd have to navigate thru folders and songs and it just sucked.
Can I burn a playlist to an iso, so that I can sort the music myself? And hten put separate playlists into separate folders? Or do I have to hunt through my library for each individual track?
Thanks guys |

you click create new playlist and select the songs you want. plus i don't think you can have playlists on a cd. _________________

no- i understand how to create a playlist, I want to burn separate playlists to the same CD, and have them all in separate folders (maybe not in the same order). I just want to have my rock playlist separate from my trance playlist separate from my house playlist separate from my indie playlist.
I don't really want to be sitting in my car listening to some Belle & Sebastian, and then have something by Sean Tyas come up- y'know?
Because now when I do it, it puts them in folders based on their artist or album or something weird. Any way to change that? |

Just drag the playlist onto the CD icon and put in a blank CD.
Or you can bust out Nero and create folders within the CD and drag the genres into the appropriate folder (As I Lay Dying in Metal, for example). _________________

Thats the problem: is when I drag the playlist, it doesn't create folders on the CD for the individual playlist- it creates folders for the artists, which is messy because then I'll have like 50 folders with 1 song in them.
I guess I'm just gonna have to do it by hand (nero), but I was hoping that it'd be automated somehow. |

yeah i didn't even know that you could burn playlists, and burning it to an iso wouldn't work because well the head unit won't read anything but .mp3 and .wma files. _________________

yeah, I just wanted to burn it to an ISO so that I could drag the files out of the folders (so that I'd have a big folder [iso] with all the music that i wanted ont he CD in it. Because otherwise I'd have to hunt through my library to ifnd all the songs), and then I wouldn't have to burn a CD just so that I could have them all in one directory.
Does that make sense?
Ah well...the new software sucks =( |
