i just found out the 2.2 fw took about 2.3G of hd. kind of shocking if you have a zune4 Shocked

i have no idea.
so how big it should be?

I don't know how to explain, but I hear the way the Zune determins a megabyte is different than a PC, which is why you never have all 30 GB of space.

The only type of firmware/software that is that big/bigger is an OS, E.X. Windows XP or Windows Vista.

The firmware isn't 2GB. We could never update to it in 5 minutes if it was.
