I just want something different from my brother's iPod.
So the firmware is the problem, surely that can be fixed/upgraded all the time?
It is the physical hardware, no?
*sighs* |

the hardware is great... the firmware NEVER really gets up graded with anything new...
the biggest thing was no firmware for a year then we got the 2.0 firmware and that was just the new OS pretty much and the one new feature... wi-fi sync _________________

nah the biggest problem with it is the bull shit software you have to install on your PC to get the thing to work.... and as you live in the UK you wont be able to upgrade it to the new version...thus you can't edit the ID3 tag info meaning it will randomly split your albums up, and there isn't a thing you can do about it. _________________

dont get us all wrong... we all love the zune... its good at what it does...
once you get the music on it and movies and such on it you will love it... but like with anything its not perfect... the soft ware isnt that great but then again itunes isnt great and thats a standard now...
and the features that set it apart arent really that useful you will find out... but IT IS A GREAT MEDIA PLAYER... and if you want something great get a ipod touch... with the apps now i dont see anything wrong with it... :/
BTW... i own an iphone so yeah take the last part of what i said with a grain of salt get another opinion getting the 3g very soon :] _________________

WTF??? Vista would slow to a crawl from the minute it booted up. And let's not even talk about Crysis.
But I would love to have a 32Gb iPhone. _________________

I looked at the E-100, and was very close to getting it. I like the SD, but I am going for three weeks, and my music collection won't fit on 8, 16, or 20GB. Greater resolution than the Zune, though.
I downloaded the zune software, and it was fine. It updated from the software - auto update. I can't seem to get into the social anymore though. I suppose though why should I bother if it is so bad?
32GB iPhones are very expensive contracts. |

To get into the social and use marketplace on your pc, either just change your computers location settings Control Panel>Regional & Language settings. and change the Location to USA, or go to Dark zune and download their widget that convinces your PC that you are in the us and allows you to use marketplace and it also enables zunecards for non US users http://forum.darkzune.com/zune-hacks/zune-id-1636-zinternational-full-zune-functionality-international-zune-users.html
It does however seem to take up to as much as a couple of hours to fully work so be patient if it doesnt work straight away, but your play count and songs played will show on your zune card after _________________
