Why Can't I use Media Player 11 to sync my zune?

It's so much easier using windows media player instead of the zune software which driving me insane with how crappy it is.

But when I connect this computer to the zune and try to sync through media player 11 ...it says it can't find the device.

I have windows xp home

is there a bug or someting?

Its just the way Windows made it.
Theirs a hak out their that I tried but idk if it'll work with the current firmware.
I believe its called ZSuite.
