Yes, we are having a update that will go 'live' tomorrow morning. Bald, gapless playback is included so make a decision quick! To the rest of you, download it tomorrow. Scratch that, mine just updated so just turn on your software and hope. _________________

I have noticed that now the zune device shows the syncing percent, I guess that is pretty cool _________________

I'm gonna go with it's just you.
And uh... OMFG I love the update for the media player. Finally I can edit the music files within the Zune software. And the dragging certain albums into another album is a nice feature for those stray albums that have songs with wrong tags. Not to mention the new "Find Album Info" function that many of us see in WMP. I'm really happy with this update... now if my Zune would just get back from repair. |

There was a new terms and agreement that you had to accept before being able to sign in, that's why it's treating you new I bet. I don't know why so many people have problems with there Zune. Other than myself killing the battery, the thing has ran flawlessly for me the entire time I've owned it. Everyone else must just be stupid. |

Love the update, but not much features for the device it self....
Also the custom "Change the looks of your zune software" does not work anymore _________________

That's pretty freaking sweet how they did that, so you don't have to wait for the Zune software to boot up.
And I'm kicking DSOTM with gapless playback, it's like listening to the CD. Just a slight gap, I can deal with that. _________________

Updates I've found so far:
*On Now playing page, there is a button to hide the list, that's playing.
*Also, a "Create Playlist" Button.
*All text is larger, which is cool.
*Text is Pink.
*Shuffle is more random.
*Numbers next to tracks.
*Better job at finding album art.
*Can edit all track info (finally).
*When Zune is minimized, it shows whats playing in the task bar. (Artist, Song, Album).
*Album art appears next to track playing in browse mode.
*New look on videos page, has details to the right. (You can add these withing the software, or with Zmeta.
*When you are in a slide show, there is a "Music" button, so you can change your music while playing a slide show.
*New look for Device page, when a device is not connected, it looks like Zuneoriginals.net.
*You can now have "Sync groups"
*MARKET PLACE HAS VIDEOS!!!!! OMG!
*Market place has more Podcasts.
*You can now edit your profile from in the software.
*You can now convert your music before transfering. no use, I like it the best quality (320)
Also, on Zune.net, there is now an "international" link for all of you foreign Zuners!
Heres what Microsoft says about the new version:
| Zune.net wrote: | WHAT'S NEW IN VERSION 2.5
We've updated the Zune software with features our community's been asking for, including gapless playback, smart playlists, new sorting options, multiple-device syncing, and advanced song info editing, including drag-and-drop functionality. If you have Windows Live Messenger running, it'll let your contacts know what you're playing. And when you go to Zune Marketplace, you'll now find over 800 episodes of popular TV shows to download, plus more than two million DRM-free MP3s.
Great news for members of the Zune Social: the discovery experience is now fully integrated into this update. Send messages and listening recommendations directly from the software. Zune Pass subscribers: sync your friends' Zune Cards with your device and their music comes along—their recent plays, favorite tracks, and top songs from their most-played artists[3]. Even if you don't have a Zune Pass, you'll still see their play data on your device, so you can choose what you want and buy the songs next time you sync. |
