Hey guys I have been looking around and can't find help on this problem.
My zune was dropped of a car so it has a little damage to it but screen is still good so I though I would repair it. I replaced the motherboard in it cause it would not charge. So what it does now is it will start throw an error (5) then restart until it dies and then it seems as if the motherboard takes over with the charging until the battery has enough juice to start the hd. Then it starts the cycle again. I hooked it up to the pc and the zune software says it needs to be updated but can't connect to zune.??? Should I replace the hd or is it something else. I hear no hd clicks.

If you cant hear the HDD its a good chance its busted. if you have a spare, try it. because you may not need a new HDD and if you buy one and its not the problem, you will be pretty pissed off Smile
