It had boring characters and the game play was repetitive and not compelling at all.

add to that the fact there was zero skill required, and it was insanely linear, and by that i will give an example...
near the start of the game there is an enemy gun turret with a bloke manning it, now if u go to close you die, so one of my team mates told me to flank him, me being an FPS expert (and yeah i said it) decided to go for a head shot.... (something i assumed all games that date after Quake 2 have) after sinking most of my ammo into his forehead (and causing a silly amount of blood to fly into the air) i decided to try out my friends advice, as went round the back and 2 shots (anywhere) and he was down...
.... now I'm sorry but that's appalling, even Jericho had head shots and that is the worst game I've ever played

in gears of war single is totally different than online... headshots online work 100%
story not always for some odd reason ill say it your right on that... (unless its the sniper)... and in gears you dont need any skill UNLESS you play insane which i did and you need skill for that... but in gears its all about downing the person... aim for he knees not the head...

I'm sorry but no head shots in story is retarded, the game is shit... and the only reason your playing it is becasue its running on the UT3 engine

i played gears cause there was nothing better to play at the time... i cant wait to go get unreal 3 for my 360...

fuck... i was really hoping it would be good... it almost got a 9 out of ten on the xbox... because those games are really good i guess ill be waiting for unreal 2010/2011/2012/4 or what ever there gonna call it

yeah be best...
all i wanted was a new facing worlds map better onslaught mode, and in single player my team got better as the game progressed like the enemy AI...
instead there are no facing world maps at all, no onslaught mode and your team AI and the enemy AI seem to have been written in different decades (you team mates being lumbered with the shit AI)

no idea, i only used UT for a quick blast as it was so fast to get into, no so much anymore... CoD4 online is beast
