i just notice my CPU is a little weird.

i have E6750 @ 3.0GHz(stock 2.66). the stock voltage should be 1.35 and that what i see in BIOS. i OCed FSB to 375 from 333 and x8 mutiplyer, never touch the v-core. and i just found out on idle, my (WTF?!!?! PC Prob just told warned me my v-core is 1.06?? back to normal after 5 sec) ... my v-core will jump to 1.37 and when its under load, the v-core will drop to 1.34-1.32, i even saw it droped to 1.30!!! i dont know if Asus PC Prob II is breaking down(but data from cpu-z agrees with it most of the time tho) or its really happening. i notice this because i was thinking about bump up my v-core a little bit last night.

So wait, the voltage drops when it's under load?

If CPU-Z posts the same stats as PC Probe, chances are the voltage changes are actually happening. See what happens when you keep it near stock, or knock down the multiplier.

yep, i change back to stock settings, and loading the cpu by using zune software converting videos, and its the same thing, idle at 1.37 and 1.33-1.34 on load.

ok ... but why? it should be needing more voltage when loaded, right?

More voltage=more heat
more heat=slower speeds
slower speeds= Evil or Very Mad

So what have we learned about this today class?
More voltage=SUPER SPEED!

in idle the entire cpu is in idle (all parts) but under load the cpu will focus where it needs the most power (so some things wont be used as much as idle)

thats my take on it
