About Converting to a HDD

If i remember correctly the Zune has a 800maH battery.

I did the HD mod and while I can see my Zune and all the files in it, I can't open any of them or drop and drag them. Little locks all over the place. The only problem is that even the pictures I took and put on my computer and put on my Zune are locked. WTF?

I post the following in the computer-sided mods thread where I thought it belonged, but saw this running thread here too:

Bought my refurbed Zune this week (thx Woot!) and immediately searched for hard drive capability. Kudos to ZuneMods for being the most comprehensive site.

I'm running WinXP SP2 and can't seem to get the PC to recognize the Zune as a hard drive. I've modified the values at four different places in the registry but to no avail. I tried ControlSet001, 2, 3 and CurrentControlSet. Do some devices just never get recognized?

As I understand it, I switch the values, then close all windows, then plug in my Zune device, then fire up Zune software, and I should then be able to view the Zune device through windows. Do I have to restart at any point in the process? If/when I this succeeds, will it also work on the same computer for the new Zune I purchased for my wife? Also, I've heard of a patch but am reluctant because I've never used one and only want the hdd mod.

ok i patched my zune i have the zunesoftware running, now when i try to drag files to the zune gives me a error, what em i doing wrong?
