| How can I do this, I have some Divx movies on my hard drive but I can't find a decent converter that can give me good quality, and some have just crashed right in front of me. If anyone can help me please reply. Thanks. |

divx is the same as xvid, and rar is not a video format. _________________

Actually I have a few movies saved as .rar files the one I'm having trouble with is named: transformers.2007.DVDRip.Xvid.rar
and I have Divx and I know Xvid is the same, but my DivX player won't play any of my Xvid files.
Edit: I want to lcarify that I know .rar are archive files, but the problem still remains that I can't get them on my Zune |

What you'll need to do is download either WinRAR or 7-Zip (7-Zip is released under the GPL license, so it's all legit). Then you open it using one of those two programs, and drag and drop the file to any folder in the computer (I use My Videos). Then it should recognize or you can drag the icon into the Zune Program. _________________

| Thanks that helped alot I got most of my movies on my zune now, but I still have two problems. The first is that one of the movies got split into two parts ( I think it was meant to be put onto 2 CD's ) and second is that WinRAR keeps asking for a password for Transformers. Should I just try to find another copy or how can I get the password? Thanks for the help...again. |

I'd try finding another. Otherwise you'll have to ask the creator about the password. _________________

i use prism video converter i found it at downloads.com its in a package called switch 1.31 it can be found here http://www.download.com/Switch/3000-2140_4-10327491.html?cdlpid=10790504
it works with all of my videos and is fairley fast, it also converts videos strit off of DVD's the only thing i didnt like was that i couldn't put videos together, but thats minor. The program takes some getting used to but it is freeware and is vary versitile.
PS: make sure to change the video output settings to a 320 by 240 for regular tv and 320 by 180 for widescreen. _________________
