Well, being a huge guitar player myself, favorite brand takes a big part in my playing, and for me, it's all about IBANEZ GUITARS!
Which is your favorite? post a picture of your favorite guitar or your own if you wish, and say why you like that brand... _________________

well it seems to me that everyone thinks they can sing or play a musical instroment of some sort, when really all most can do is learn it like learning anything.
example;
I have learnt maths, dosnt make me a mathematician _________________

Well it's pretty obvious English wasn't the subject you exceeded in. j/k. kinda.
But on topic...I like both Ibanez & Jackson mostly because they provide the nice low end I like along with my friends Marshall halfstack to satisfy my br00talness. Haha.
EDIT: I always have to have him tune me down to Drop B though. _________________

Yea, Ibanez and Jackson are great for any metal player, I just prefer Ibanez because of the neck, plus I love the idea of a dimarzio active pick-up, which my ibanez xiphos has
P.S. tuning down to drop B can be a real, well, bitch lol! _________________

This is a good point, there are a lot of people out there who own a guitar, and therefore assume they are hot shit and/or talented musicians, however, I've been playing for 6 years and dedicate myself to guitar to the point where I practice about 2-3 hours a day, not saying I'm the best in the world, but I am a good player and am proud of what I can accomplish. As long as people are open about their skill level, and don't pretend to be what they are not, then it doesnt matter what guitar they like or what not, so let's not make this into a flame war peeps _________________

I originally played drums in the band I was in but I wrote many of our riffs. I love both instruments but playing drums I require someone to jam with in order to stay interested but guitar I can jam and shred all day by myself and not get bored. _________________

That really is a big reason why so many play guitar, my friend who is the drummer in my band never practices simply due to a lack of interest, while I can shred for hours by myself _________________

My favorite guitar right now is my Eko M-24. Designed by ex-Gibson man Jim D'Agostino for Eko in the early 80's as a "Gibson Killer" and IMO, it succeeds. Best solid body I've ever laid hands on. As for brand in general, I hold no allegiance. If it suits my needs, I'm down with it.
And if it matters (though it shouldn't) I've been playing guitar for 21 years, actively gigging for the last 18 of those, and do in fact consider myself a musician. |
