im not a fan of the back being metal either but i would rather have the zune 80 and get the engraving on the back and customize it myself

The texture is brushed, and I think the metal is aluminum. It's all one piece except for the plastic front.

i like th enew zunes altho the old all plastic ones were sweet. if they had the old plastic ones as slim as the new ones it would be slick

I'm actually looking into buying a second hand ipod classic. I hate the zune software that much.

I thought about fixing mine, but it would be a better value to buy a new one (because the biggest that fits in my old one is 80Gb).

well after having played with my dad's classic, its smaller than my zune more than twice the size, the UI on it actually looks nice, and the actual hardware is nicer to use than the clunky zune.... altho i still think double shot brown and green in a solid finish is the best out of any player.
